Acrylic painting for beginners to intermdeiate level is the focus in this class.  We will discuss colours and the colour wheel and how to mix them, as well as different painting techniques, including the importance of negative space in painting, left and right brrain function and how this impacts on your painting. Acrylic paint is extremely versatile and forgiving so my aim is to allow each student to develop their own style of painting whilst practicing lessons they learn throughout the term. I would like to make this class a place where students can explore their creativity in a relaxed atmosphere. Photographs will be the main source of subject matter, and students will have access to the tutors collection, but would be encouraged to source their own.

Specialising in weaving with natural fibres. Learn to make beautiful baskets, chair seats, hats etc. A sample basket can be seen in the Glass Display Cabinet at the House.
